Herbal Organizations

  • AHG: the American Herbalist Guild- a member supported herbal organization in which members receive a plethora of  herbal resources.  They host a yearly herbal conference that is not to be missed and they publish a yearly herbal journal!

  • ABC: the American Botanical Council- another member supported herbal organization that provides a wealth of herbal resources, hosts yearly herbal events, and publishes the Herbal Gram journal.

  • United Plant Savers: an organization devoted to protecting our medicinal plant allies. 

  • Washington State Native Plant Society: focused on preserving the native plants in WA.  They host lots of interesting events.

  • The Burke Museum: a division of the University of WA, houses a large collection of digital plant and fungi resources.

    • An incredible resource, including the full texts of some of our most treasured herbal texts.

  • The Late Dr. David Duke's Phytochemical Website- Dr. Duke's Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Database

    • A database detailing the phytochemicals contained in a variety of medicinal plants.  Actions are also associated with the chemicals outlined for each plant.  ​
